![]() if quin left or if kripp came back that affects how many casuals there are queuing to play with you and the amount of video content there is to help you enjoy the game better if you are in the top 1100 you could not be on the leaderboard because people in the top 1000-500 got there because they bot.Īlso the number of top level players and streamers has a correlation to the popularity of the game. it's only going to get worse because of how powerful farming bounties is in the next patch.Īnd it's not just top 100 that get impacted. if you don't like running bounties no problem, it does that too. if you want your bot to farm shards and gamble quivers all night it does that. if you want to tell your bot to stash all ancient kridershots that it finds between 1am and 6pm while u sleep/work, it does that. Still not sure why you say it's not a big deal. If your luck is like mine, they'll ban the day after you start using it. I'm not going to go into details, but I was curious as you were and found the whole thing fascinating.ĭon't bot unless you don't care about your account. The system they use to check for bots is mostly unavoidable. In a bad mood I might say they don't care or realize the impact. In a different mood I might suspect there were some legal proceedings I don't understand and they can't ban anymore. I tell myself that right now because I'm in a relatively optimistic mood. I'm not sure what they are waiting for but they probably have a list of all the offenders. Blizzard has a tendency of waiting to catch as many people as possible and not ban smaller groups of people. I hope they will get banned (and every member of a clan that is heavily using it - like ten members or more), they just don't seem to be so far. I won't use it, I have too much invested. I don't feel bad giving out the information when it's that easily accessible. They are using ros-bot, all day, every day. It has that original Battlenet Diablo 2 feel, ya know? Not the good one we all love. Why didn't you just use google? It's the number one hit used by like 50,000+ people. It's one thing to have bots, its another when every single game is plagued for me by them. P.s I expect bots, but not on day 1, and not as many as there are now. Its not as easy to make a new account as it was in 2001. Maybe they will learn its not as easy to get a ban here. Lets just hope the ban hammers with those new shiny tools are coming out soon. I guess people read this (and other interviews) in different ways. At least they should make it harder for people to do it in the first place. normal players.Ībsolute lie? Idk, everyone that i talk to see it differently. Cus why farm when others can sleep/watch a movie, and still get the same loot as you? It literally makes the farming sessions feel like a waste of time for us. So harmless that it made everyone that i know quit. People keep telling me this is ok, its not a competitive game (uhh, it kind of is for some people), and how bots are harmless. Should we just accept DIablo 2 will forever have a botting problem? Fine, i won't talk about it anymore. Loot bots vacuum pick every single loot from every single Cow level/ Baal run. The world chats are a mess in Europe, Amerca and Asia. Ok so what's stopping them to use those "better" tools? The people already sell like 50 shakos and tal rasha items, just a week and a half after the game got out. PoE, WoW, FF14, D2, D3, hell even League of Legends and Apex Legends has bots. D2 bots usually do the same except for the chat spam bots in chat lobbies. D3 bots all play in private lobbies by themselves, so you literally can’t ever see them. WoW has had a genuine botting problem since Vanilla days, as there were plenty of bots designed to do loops around Eastern/Western Plaguelands for mining+herbalism. Looking at your other comments in this thread I have a feeling you don’t fully understand how bots work or what they do-generally speaking if you are noticing them then they are doing something wrong. It’s not uncommon to see practically the entire top 100 for every class be characters with 22/23 hours a day play time for the entire first month straight. You didn’t see many chat spamming bots, but the top Ladder spots have been taken by botters since shortly after Reaper of Souls launch.
